Mirror

Idea of mirror ruining perception of self because you have a physical part to critique, I think that is wrong.  The idea that by seeing your physical you are some how ruining the idea of yourself you had before that, the idea of your personality. I don't think that is the case because God created us, body and soul, I believe He did so for a purpose. I believe our bodies have value, we are able to reproduce and show affection towards one another through the physical, while that does not need a mirror to happen. It still is a point to our bodies having value. Why would the view of a valuable thing that God gifted us ruin our perception of our self? Because the world has made us feel like there is an ideal version we should be physically? Because society says we should look one way or that if we do look one way then we are "beautiful"? I think the idea that our perception of our self changes when looking in a mirror is wrong, unless we think better of our self and the gift our lives are from God. Looking in the mirror just gives us more to appreciate and giving the personality you have in your mind a face should not devalue your view of yourself, because you are a gift from God.
