The Old Lady-outside reading

Old Lady
I wonder if when you look at me
You can't bring yourself to like    the  vanity
Lost  somewhere  inside -
I wonder if beauty lives..... in you???

Poor old lady;
-perhaps you should not pass judgment
For one day
I might be
Just
Like
You!

This poem is about judgment. Till We Have Faces was solely about judgment. This poem in such short words sums up judgment. It shows that we must not pass judgment on others because they may be or end up being just like us. I liked this poem because if it one thing that older people do is look at younger people with judgment. Whether it is for a good reason or something as low as vanity it seems that judgment is something people just automatically do. But if there’s one thing Lewis tried to teach people is that judgment gets you nowhere.
