I thought it was interesting to read about Weston's conversation with Ransom about why he kidnapped him. Ransom is asking Weston about Malacandra and does not understand his role in going there. So, of course, Ransom is irritated to the point where he vocalizes his anger about being drugged and assaulted. I do not remember exactly when we talked about it, but I remember talking about people's various perspectives on why they act a certain way. Weston says, "I might reply by asking you why you crept into my backyard like a thief. If you had minded your own business you would not be here. As it is, I admit that we have had to infringe your rights. My only defence is that small claims must give way to great." (Lewis 26). Weston has no sympathy for Ransom and blames him for the outcome that occurred.
